ob Title: Personal Injury Paralegal
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal to support our plaintiff-side personal injury practice. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys with pre-suit and litigation files, manage case documentation, communicate with clients and providers, and help move cases efficiently from intake through settlement or trial. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage deadlines, and experience handling injury claims and litigation support.
Key Responsibilities:
Open and maintain personal injury case files from intake through resolution
Draft correspondence, demands, discovery responses, subpoenas, and other legal documents
Collect, review, and organize medical records, bills, liens, police reports, insurance information, and other case materials
Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, experts, and court personnel
Monitor case deadlines, hearing dates, discovery deadlines, and statute of limitations
Assist with preparation of settlement demand packages
Coordinate pre-suit and litigation case management
Prepare chronologies, summaries, and case status updates for attorneys
Review and summarize medical records and billing
Assist with filing pleadings and documents in state and federal court systems as needed
Schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and client appointments
Support trial preparation, including exhibit organization, witness files, and trial binders
Maintain accurate notes and updates in the case management system
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a paralegal in personal injury law preferred
Knowledge of pre-suit claims and litigation procedures
Familiarity with medical records, billing summaries, and injury case documentation
Strong drafting, proofreading, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Experience with case management software, Microsoft Office, and e-filing systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required
Preferred Skills:
Experience handling auto negligence, slip and fall, and bodily injury claims
Ability to prepare demands and litigation support materials
Strong client service skills and professionalism
Ability to work independently and proactively identify next steps on files
Education and Experience:
Paralegal certificate preferred, but not required depending on experience
2+ years of personal injury paralegal experience preferred
Work Environment:
Full-time
In-office, remote, or hybrid depending on firm needs
Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information with professionalism
