Family Law Attorney
The MISSION UNITED Veterans Pro Bono Project at Legal Aid Service of Broward County, Inc. has an opening for a full time Family Law attorney available for applicants admitted to the Florida Bar. The ideal candidate will have experience researching, drafting pleadings, negotiating, and litigating in Family Law. Experience with veterans’ issues is preferred, but not mandatory.
This position requires good oral and written advocacy skills and willingness to be an aggressive advocate in court for the indigent and veteran client population. Job duties include, but are not limited to, conducting legal assessments, performing intakes, representing clients, and case management. Other job duties include mentoring pro bono attorneys and providing advice and counsel on family law and veteran matters. This position also offers the opportunity to educate both private and public entities on unique military/veteran issues and laws. Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required.
