Florida Truck Attorneys, LLC is a personal injury firm in Ft. Lauderdale handling serious trucking and commercial vehicle crash cases. We’re looking for a bilingual (English/Spanish) paralegal with Florida state court experience to support our cases from intake through litigation, part-time.
Experience with truck accident law is a plus, but not required. We can teach you that. What matters most is that you are familiar with Florida and Federal civil procedure and filing portals and the ability to effectively communicate with clients in Spanish and English.
What you’ll do:
Act as the main point of contact for Spanish-speaking clients
Gather medical records, bills, crash reports, and other case documents
Help assemble demand packages
File and serve documents.
Calendar deadlines under the state and federal rules and case management orders
Draft notices, subpoenas, and other documents and correspondence for attorney review
Review medical records and draft medical timelines.
Review and familiarize yourself with discovery and responses
Schedule depositions, mediations, and hearings
Translate client documents and communications
Required:
Fluent English and Spanish, spoken and written
3+ years of paralegal experience in Florida civil litigation
Hands-on experience with the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal
Working knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure
Hands-on experience with Federal ECF and PACER
Working knowledge of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Preferred:
Plaintiff personal injury experience
CloudLex experience, or experience with a similar CMS (Filevine, Litify, Clio)
Paralegal certificate or FRP/NALA certification
